Moorage at E.H.Y.C
Getting a space for your boat.
We offer safe and ideally situated moorage to Active members for approximately 85 boats, subject to the mix of boat lengths at any given time. Currently, we’re at full capacity with a waiting list. Active members are welcome to join the waiting list.
How to apply for moorage.
When a member resigns their moorage, an email is sent from the office and includes the dock, slip number and maximum available moorage space. If interested, any Active member may apply by doing the following:
Review the Moorage Regulations to ensure eligibility.
Familiarize yourself with the terms outlined in the Moorage Agreement Form.
Watch the EHYC video ‘How to Measure your Boat’
Complete the Moorage Application Form thoroughly with all required documentation.
Submit your application to the Office.
The Moorage Committee will review the applications, and if successful, we will be in touch to discuss next steps.
Resigning your moorage.
Moorage resignations occur when a member notifies us that they are permanently vacating their current moorage space, either to rejoin the waiting list with a different yacht or because they no longer require moorage at EHYC. This is how the process works:
Moorage resignation requires 60 days notice which begins at the time of submission of your Moorage Resignation Form.
Moorage is payable during this 60 day notice regardless of when the yacht vacates the club.
The moorage space will be advertised to the membership after the Moorage Resignation Form is received.
Within 60 days of resignation the yacht must be removed from the club and any refund on moorage is paid out.
The Rear Commodore may instruct the yacht to be moved to a new location at EHYC anytime within this 60 day period to serve the best interests of EHYC and its members.
When moorage becomes available we send an email to members with instructions on how to apply.
