Dinner on the terrace

Join us for Dinner on the Terrace—a new monthly potluck series kicking off this month! On the last Thursday of each month throughout boating season, we’ll gather to share a meal, enjoy our garden and waterfront views, and connect with fellow members over great food.

Our first dinner, Mediterranean Feast, takes place Thursday, May 29. Tim will be firing up the pizza oven, offering fresh pizza and free lessons on how to use it—don’t miss the chance to learn and taste!

Please sign up in advance to let us know what you’ll be bringing—it helps us plan and makes for a delicious, well-balanced table for all.

We can’t wait to share this new tradition with you!

Pub Night - Glass Sponge Reef Society

We're excited to welcome the Marine Life Sanctuary Society (MLSS) to EHYC for a special educational outreach evening during pub night.

Leam about the marine protected areas in our local waters-why they matter, what they protect, and the incredible species that call them home.

The evening will highlight endangered and protected species, with a spotlight on the globally rare glass sponge reefs-a true natural wonder that exists right here in BC.

Interested in getting involved? MLSS will also share a range of ways you can support or take part in their mission.

Drop by for a drink, stay for the knowledge, and leave with a deeper appreciation for our local marine ecosystems.

It is a must to have this certification and to understand the protocols when operating a VHF.

When:  Thursday, March 20th, 6:30-9:30 PM

Where:  Eagle Harbour Yacht Club building

Details & Course: Restricted Operators Certificate (M) VHF and DSC Certification
Price includes registration, student notes, presentation, written and oral exam, temporary and permanent certificate

  • Temporary certificates will be given as proof of completion until the permanent certificates arrive from our National Office (Power Squadron Canada).

For EHYC members and their family. We will open up registration to friends and WVYC if space allows.

Spring Quiz Night

Spring Quiz Night

Get your tickets now for the Spring Pub Quiz on Thursday March 6th before they are all gone. There are only 60 tickets available. The aim is to have 10 teams of 6 people in each. The price for the quiz (and the excellent food) is only $15 per person.

March is the month in which Spring begins (Hooray!). The Quiz will be a General Knowledge Quiz but with a flavour of Spring about it. It is not a quiz though which is all about Spring (or even Wales). There will be general knowledge questions on (to name but a few topics) art, music, science, history and geography. Also, given the current “suggestions” coming up from South of the border, there will be a focus on Canada, "our home and native land - the true north strong and free”.

🎟 Tickets are $15, which includes:

✅ Entry to the quiz - doors open at 6pm, quiz starts promptly at 6:30pm
✅ A hearty bowl of meat chili or veggie option and the fixings
✅ Plenty of fun and friendly rivalry!

Gather a team of 6 or simply register and we’ll add you to a table as soon as possible—before the tickets disappear and you miss your chance to put your knowledge to the test!

How to Register:

  1. EHYC Members-Only Registration
Open exclusively to members until Wednesday, February 26th.

  2. Guest Registration:
Starting February 26th, members can register guests for any remaining spots.

  3. Registration Deadline:
Closes at 5 PM on Tuesday, March 4th.

Don’t miss out on this fun night —reserve your spot today! Registration is required.
